While Apple TV+ normally has very few releases each month, the quality of those releases are usually quite high. This month, they are ramping up the heat with content ranging from an epic Hawaiian saga to returning comedies, sci-fi thrillers, family favories and an all new Peanuts musical.

Chief of War – August 1st

Jason Momoa embraces his Polynesian roots in the new series, Chief of War. Set in the 18th century on the islands of Hawai’i, warrior Ka’iana is on a quest to unify the islands before outsiders begin to colonize their lands. Based on true events, the cast primarily consist of a Polynesian cast to retell this heroic story. From the looks of the trailers, this is going to be one epic adventure.
Stillwater (Season 4) – August 1st

Ah to be a child again. Become friends with a very special neighbor, a wise panda named, Stillwater. Along with his friends, Karl, Addy and Michael, he shares stories to give new perspectives on the world, teaches the children mindfulness while offering them a deeper understanding of their feelings as well as tools that help them face their own day-to-day challenges. Each story is told with humor and breathing exercises, so take a deep breath and embrace your inner peace by embarking on a fun adventure.
Platonic (Season 2) – August 6th

Everyone’s favorite best friends, Sylvia and Will, are back in Platonic. As usual, things don’t always go how you expect them to. This season they battle new mid-life hurdles, including work, weddings and partners in crises. As they try to be each other’s rock to hold things together, things begin to unravel as their friendship is put to the test.
Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical – August 15th

Kids and families are invited to join Charlie Brown and the gang as they head to summer camp in Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical. This is Charlie Brown’s final year at summer camp and he plans to make it a special one. But news of the camp shutting down saddens everyone, especially Charlie Brown. Using instruments Snoopy finds in a treasure chest, the Peanuts gang hosts a concert to save the camp. So, gather around the campfire, warm up your vocal cords and get ready to sing your heart out.
Invasion (Season 3) – August 22nd

One of our favorite shows, Invasion, returns this month. Told through the perspectives of different people around the world, this season they finally meet for the first time. As the ultimate apex aliens finally emerge, they are brought together by fate to work as a team on a critical mission to infiltrate the alien mothership. Each with their own expertise and experience, they must save the human race. As we all know, working together isn’t as easy as it sounds. As some relationships are formed and some are shattered, will they come together before it’s too late.
KPOPPED (Season 1) – August 29th

PSY, the man that brought “Gangnam Style” and Megan Thee Stallion team up for a unique competition series, KPOPPED. Each week, artists such as Megan Thee Stallion, Patti LaBelle, Kylie Minogue, Spice Girls’ Mel B and Emma Bunton, TLC and Boyz II Men team up with K-pop idols (Billlie, ITZY, Kep1er, JO1, ATEEZ, STAYC, Kiss of Life and BLACKSWAN). Chart topping hits such as “Savage,” “Wannabe,” “Ice Ice Baby” “Lady Marmalade,” “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” “Motownphilly,” “Waterfalls” and more. Then, they perform their new renditions in front of a live studio audience in Seoul, who picks the winner of the best new K-popped song.
Shape Island (Season 2) – August 29th

Returning with more imaginative adventure for kids and families is Shape Island. Based on the picture book trilogy by Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen, the series follows Triangle, Square and Circle as they navigate each other’s differences. This season, the trio digs up some fun, searches for answers and continue to build on their friendship. Their goal is to show kids that friendship can take many shapes.
