What is Only Murders in the Building – Season 5 about?

Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez) all live at Arconia, an upscale apartment building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Even though they don’t know each other, they all share a love for true crime. However, their lives collide when they become wrapped up in one. Using their knowledge of true crime, they plan to solve the murder themselves. Soon, they start a podcast to document their findings gaining them notoriety.

In season 5, their doorman, Lester, dies under suspicious circumstances. Charles, Oliver, and Mabel refuse to believe it was an accident. As usual, they poke their noses in the investigation. As they hunt for clues, they uncover secrets connecting powerful billionaires, old-school mobsters, and the mysterious residents of the Arconia. In the process, the trio discovers that the old mobs is fighting to hold on as newer, even more dangerous players emerge.
